Plug in the Access Point

Plug an access point (such as the AP 160) into power and ethernet. It will automatically obtain its IP address from its local DHCP server. (If the local network uses static IP, the Hautspot installation personnel manually enters the access point's IP address (see the next step).

In this scenario, the access point is behind a firewall; the firewall is completely optional, as no additional hardware beyond the broadband terminal adapter (DSL bridge, cable modem, etc.) is required. We provide everything else you need to run your hotspot.
